Effective date: 2026-07-07

Short Version

Hockey Anchor is a parent/guardian decision-support platform. It helps families think through hockey decisions. It is not directed to children, and children do not create accounts.

Parents or legal guardians submit information about their own player. We collect only the information needed to provide the Family Decision Review, protect paid access, support the family, handle refunds or deletion requests, and keep the service secure.

We do not store payment card numbers. Stripe handles card payment processing.

Information We Collect

Hockey Anchor may collect the following information when needed:

  1. Account and sign-in information, such as the email address used for magic-link access.
  2. Parent or guardian contact information.
  3. Household information needed to connect a family, case, and paid access.
  4. Player context needed for the decision review.
  5. Family priorities, constraints, goals, questions, and submitted decision context.
  6. Case records, case status, Decision Packet content, and reasoning details.
  7. Stripe-linked payment references, entitlement records, refund status, and paid-access records.
  8. Support, deletion, refund, escalation, and incident records needed to resolve family issues.
  9. Anonymized analytics used to understand reliability and improve the service.

Information Families Should Not Submit

Families should summarize situations whenever possible.

Do not upload or paste private communications unless they are essential to understanding the decision.

Families should not submit:

  1. Payment card numbers or card security codes.
  2. Passwords, service credentials, login codes, magic links, or session tokens.
  3. Sensitive youth/player information that is not needed for the review.
  4. Private information about another family.
  5. Raw coach, school, program, or family communications unless a limited excerpt is essential.
  6. Medical, legal, disciplinary, mental health, eligibility, or school records unless the family believes the information is necessary and has the right to share it.

How We Use Information

Hockey Anchor uses information to:

  1. Provide the Family Decision Review.
  2. Create and preserve the Decision Packet.
  3. Process paid access and verify entitlement status.
  4. Respond to support, refund, account deletion, privacy, and security requests.
  5. Protect accounts, cases, entitlements, and household data.
  6. Investigate payment, access, data, or trust incidents.
  7. Improve service reliability using anonymized analytics.

Youth And Player Information

Hockey Anchor is parent/guardian-led.

Hockey Anchor is not directed to children. Children do not create accounts. Parents or legal guardians submit information regarding their own player.

For under-13 player context, Hockey Anchor may handle parent/guardian-submitted information only through strict minimization. We avoid collecting direct child contact information and avoid asking for a full birthdate unless it is necessary.

See Youth Data for more detail.

Payments

Stripe processes card payments. Hockey Anchor does not store full card numbers or card security codes.

Hockey Anchor may store Stripe-linked references, entitlement records, payment status, and refund metadata so we can confirm access, resolve payment issues, and support refund requests.

See Refunds for refund rules.

AI And Software-Assisted Workflows

Hockey Anchor may use software and AI-assisted workflows to support analysis, structure, and drafting.

The product remains accountable decision support. AI is not the authority. The family owns the decision.

See AI Disclosure for more detail.

Sharing

Hockey Anchor does not sell family case data.

Hockey Anchor may share information only when needed to:

  1. Operate the service through trusted providers such as payment, hosting, database, authentication, or email systems.
  2. Process payment and refunds through Stripe.
  3. Respond to support, security, privacy, deletion, or legal/operational requests.
  4. Protect Hockey Anchor, families, accounts, cases, and entitlements.

Individual family cases are private by default. Hockey Anchor will not use a family's private case publicly as proof, marketing, or an example without permission and de-identification.

Retention

Hockey Anchor follows these Release 1 retention rules:

  1. Active account: retained while active.
  2. Closed account: default deletion after 12 months.
  3. Financial/payment records: retained only as legally or operationally required.
  4. Analytics: may be retained only in anonymized form.

See Data Retention for more detail.

Account Deletion

Families may request account and case deletion through the Support or Contact page.

Deletion requests are verified through the account email or an active session. Hockey Anchor acknowledges deletion requests within 2 business days and completes deletion within 30 days unless a narrow legal, payment, security, or operational exception applies.

See Account Deletion for more detail.

Hockey Anchor's Release 1 security posture is based on verified controls only. Those include Stripe card handling, magic-link sign-in, server-side paid-access checks, protected private routes, and server-side handling of privileged credentials.

See Security for more detail.
