Retention Philosophy
Hockey Anchor keeps data long enough to deliver the Family Decision Review, support the family, resolve payment/refund/access issues, preserve case integrity, and maintain operational accountability.
Retention should be useful, but it should not become hoarding.
Release 1 Retention Rules
| Data category | Retention rule |
|---|---|
| Active account | Retained while active |
| Closed account | Default deletion after 12 months |
| Financial/payment records | Retained only as legally or operationally required |
| Analytics | May be retained only in anonymized form |
Account And Household Data
Account and household data is retained while the account is active.
When an account is closed, the default rule is deletion after 12 months unless a narrow legal, payment, security, or operational reason requires limited retention.
Case And Decision Packet Data
Case and Decision Packet records are tied to the account and household.
While the account is active, case records may be retained so Hockey Anchor can deliver the service, support the family, preserve the decision record, and resolve questions.
After account closure, the default deletion rule is 12 months unless a narrow exception applies.
Payment And Refund Records
Stripe handles payment card processing. Hockey Anchor does not store full card numbers or card security codes.
Hockey Anchor may retain Stripe-linked payment references, entitlement records, refund status, and related support records only as legally or operationally required.
Support, Deletion, And Incident Records
Support, deletion, and incident records are kept only as long as needed to:
- Resolve the issue.
- Protect the family or service.
- Preserve evidence of refund, deletion, security, privacy, or operational handling.
- Meet a narrow legal, payment, security, or operational need.
Analytics
Analytics may be retained only in anonymized form.
Hockey Anchor should not use analytics to expose family names, player names, private case content, raw communications, or household-specific sensitive details.
Deletion Requests
Families may request deletion through Support or Contact.
Deletion requests are acknowledged within 2 business days and completed within 30 days unless a narrow legal, payment, security, or operational exception applies.
See Account Deletion.
